The place for dinner in Hakodate. Beef lover style with all you can eat. Food is good to great. Beer buffet are also available. The variety of beer is great for dinner. You can enjoy good beef with beer in cold day.In final, in this peaceful town, after a tired travel day. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Definately has a more western or European vibe as it is a beer hall - staff are courteous and very polite. A lot of food options such as steak, sausages, sashimi, or even nabe! I ordered the premium Hokkaido steak - came on a hot plate over a bed of cabbage, with a side of rice and their in house brewed premium beer. Steak was delicious! Extremely flavourful, tender with the right amount of texture, cooked just right considering how thin the Japanese style steak was. The cabbage was sweet and like the steak it was seasoned just right. The beer - it was good, light but very pallettable. Not a bad place to go if looking for some beer, pub food or something less traditionally Japanese.

depends on why you want to go. i was led to believe it would be like a beer hall but it's more like a family restaurant. though there still are a few local brews which are worth a try.

The portion is smaller as displayed. However, the environment is nice. The service is good and the waiters are attentive. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Friendly fast service with good beer. Food was very tasty and came out fast. Would go again. When a lot of people are there it can be a bit hard to order but a little patience goes a long way.

We checked "the German" menu: all kinds of beer to test plus six types of sausages and sausages on animal bones. The beer selection was alt, ale, weizen, koelsch and strong beer which had 10%. Altogether the beers tasted good with exception of the koelsch. From experience (I've been living in Germany and loving beer for almost 15 years now) I'd say that all beers are Japanese interpretation of the German variants. All of them tasted less strong and did not have any specific taste "spikes". I loved that aspect of the beers (except for the koelsch which isn't quite palatable to all people in Germany either). Get there and try the beer selection.

EPIC place to eat at after an evening of shopping with super rad staff and fast service. Food presentation was totally gnarly, but the flavor was kind of lacking. My beef (I ate the beef curry) was overcooked and didn't hold much flavor, but the rice and sauces made up for it.Vegetarians/Vegans: barely any options, but you can take out the seafood and have only vegetables for the Seafood Chop Suey with Fried Noodles dish

Not exactly a beer hall, but great for dining with a mix of western and japanese food. Ok settings (a bit dark). Responsive staff.

Ordered their pork rib and chicken from their snacks menu, the portions are extremely big, taste consider good with beer...

Hakodate beer hall is a repurposed warehouse turned into a stunning beer hall. The layout of the restaurant is great for large groups of people to small settings. The food is decent at a reasonable price, with a wide selection you will have no trouble finding something for everyone.The drink selection is really good. Prices are not to bad for what you get unless you get the beers. The beers are great, amazing flavour, cold and cheap as. The hakodate beer hall lives up to its name.

Stopped by just to try the local hakodate beer. The pilsner was pretty good. Nothing to write home about but still enjoyable.

The beer is decent but it's a bit overpriced.

Awesome place with great decor and delicious garlic bread. The 200 gram Hokkaido beef was soft and delicious for ¥3200. The beef salad for $1080 was not as good though because it was too chewy. The service was okay. Overall, the food was delicious and I would definitely come again.

Great evening meal whilst on holiday. Great food good value and excellent choice of really good beers. Thoroughly recommend if you are looking for a place to eat and drink.

Nice beer and good food. They have their original local beer and serve tasty garlic bread.

Ordered beer, sausage plater, salmon sashimi, the clams (awesome simple dish, you taste the flavours of the dish) and more beer dishes to share... awesome staff and ambiance. Great place to hang out and just chill for the evenings. Had the local red beer which goes well with the food. Will definitely come back here again.
